After thoroughly rinsing with soap and water, wipe the fire pit with a dry cloth. Keep your metal fire pit from rusting by not allowing water to sit after rainfall or cleaning. Is a fire pit safe? Fire pits are safe when handled carefully and correctly. A portable fire pit should be placed on a fire-resistant surface, such as metal or bricks. It can be dangerous to place it directly on wood decks or grass if embers fly.   Can the fire pit be stored outside all year round? In short, yes, firepits can be left outside all year round. However, we recommend storing it in a dry place when not in use. The durability of your fire pit can be altered if left outside in the rain. Rainwater can cause the metal fire pit to rust, lowering its quality over a prolonged period of time.
